Our Leadership

Adam Eastman

Leader of AAU Programming & Co-Leader of Basketball Development

While earning his degree in Business Administration at DePaul University, Adam was invited to work with the DePaul women's basketball team’s coaching staff as a scout player and was exposed to the elite structure and organization of a Top-25 program for three years. After college, he worked as an athletic coordinator for We Got Game, organizing and running basketball camps, leagues, and training sessions for players of all ages.

He began his high school coaching career in 2014 at The Latin School of Chicago, and continues today serving as the girls junior varsity head coach and girls varsity assistant. Adam then joined the Chicago Sky Basketball Academy in 2015 as an AAU coach and advanced skills trainer, with a focus on shooting technique. He has worked 1 on 1 with players to develop their perimeter shots, in which whom have gone on to be recruited to play in college as perimeter playmakers.

Adam’s basketball philosophy balances the structure of skill building, while also incorporating techniques aimed at improving players' instinctual on-court awareness. Adam and a childhood friend operate a dog training business serving the North Center neighborhood of Chicago since 2014.

Adam’s leadership with the Chicago Sky Basketball Academy oversees all the aspects of AAU programing. He is also involved in the development of players of all the ages to ensure that players are placed on appropriate levels and continue to successfully pursue their basketball goals.

Simona Sidaugaite

Leader of Academy Operations & Communications

Simona was a 4-year varsity basketball player and team captain at Tinley Park High School. She then continued her basketball career at Trinity Christian College. She has coached travel basketball since 2016 at the grade school level and was also a Varsity Assistant Coach at Providence Catholic High School. Her greatest childhood memories revolve around basketball, and she enjoys being able to share that experience with the girls of the Chicago Sky Academy. As a woman in sports, Simona understands the importance of female representation- less than 25% of youth sports coaches are women. Growing up, she had very few female coaches and is actively working to break that trend for younger generations. Simona has a heavy focus on basic skills, particularly shooting. Beyond that, her primary objective is to mentor her players to be great reliable teammates and to maintain a positive attitude throughout the hardships they may encounter, both in basketball and life. She is currently getting her master's degree in Sport Administration at the University of Cincinnati. She also coaches our 14U team.
