Dear Flow Families –
A decade ago, Flow Basketball Academy began with an eager, enthusiastic group of 7-8th grade girls who simply loved the game and wanted to get better by a means of training and skill development that was crafted just for them.
Flow grew by commitment to the philosophy that if we teach core fundamentals, creativity and craftiness through basketball, our athletes will learn how to recognize choices, understand their strengths and weaknesses, make great decisions, and chart a path to self-improvement in all areas of life.
We are not alone in this commitment. And today, we are excited to announce Flow Basketball Academy is merging with the WNBA’s Chicago Sky. Going forward, we will be called Chicago Sky Basketball Academy. This new partnership is born out of our shared values of inclusivity, personal growth, and teamwork through the love of the game—always with respect and kindness.
This new partnership will not only enable us to reach more girls, but also build awareness and joy around the girls’ and women’s basketball game in our communities.
Other than the name change and some cool new gear, much stays the same. We remain “Academy-focused” where we teach and provide personal attention to each and every athlete so she may grow her skills, leadership and love of the game.
Our Academy leadership remains unchanged. Korie, Margaret and all the Flow coaches are committed and excited about the upcoming new season and the future of Chicago Sky Basketball Academy.
You will notice the website has a new look with the brilliance of the Sky colors. The content and how you use it, however, remain the same.
Thank you so much for your continued support as we enter a bright new season. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or feedback. We always want to hear from you.
With gratitude and respect, K & M
